And, on a related note, another blogger is calling it quits because of death threats.

In starting this blog I hoped to encourage dialogue among people on both sides of the issue. While I was pretty happy with what was happening here I have also gotten death threats and abusive emails.

It's signed "CMAR"-- the penname used throughout. The blogger had described himself/herself as a psychiatrist who had served in the military as an Air Force shrink. We have no way of verifying this info because "on the Internet, no one knows you're a dog."

Regardless of how true or not, we don't think people should be subjected to death threats just for expressing their opinions even if they seem obnoxious. No one, after all, is forcing you to read their blog. Are we still living in America... or are we starting to resemble the kind of thirdworld/thirdclass banana republic we wouldn't want to invite over for munchies and coco?

OMG, even a broken clock is right twice a day.
