LOOSE BRIT LINKS:

1) JK Rowling has given her blessing to fan fiction. She's being a very good sport about it. This Beeb page has lotsa Harry Potter links. Among them is the link to Rowling's new website.

Apparently, you need the latest Flash Player version #7 to see it. I understand it was swamped as soon as they posted it. Something like 18 million visitors the first day? It was created by the Lightmaker Company who did a wonderful job. It wants to spread itself out so that you may need to maximize your browser. Don't forget, it is primarily aimed at kids. You will arrive at Rowling's simulated desktop. As you move your curser around, you will encounter hotspots. This is a delightful website which includes a micro-mini-blog and sounds from a possible snowy owl, along with other "events."

2) The UK Guardian's Online Blog has been renovated. No longer an iffy stepchild, it has been moved to one of the regular company servers. Check and update your URL bookmark for them.
