The Best of Arab Blog Awards

This has the potential to generate a lot of the same kind of fizzz as the voting for the Super Star TV show. As I recall, one very popular winner was a Jordanian gal named Diane Curezon. And in the US we've had a gal named Fantasia. People do tend to get excited about stuff like this. I also hope it motivates more people to try blogging and even to improve their language, communication, and literacy skills.

While I'm on the subject of Mahmood, I want to quote from his comments about the tsunami:

What is there to learn from this disaster other than we're here one second and gone the next, all completely out of our control? It is therefore best to work toward good deeds and make a difference, so at least you are remembered that you have done good in your life.
