*The Reuters news agency reported Friday that a group beheaded an Iraqi soldier in broad daylight in Ramadi, on the Euphrates River west of Baghdad. They left the body in the street, with the severed head placed on the torso and a note warning other Iraqi soldiers to quit, according to Reuters.

In a video posted on the Internet, insurgents loyal to Zarqawi beheaded two Iraqis who said they worked at a U.S. base in Iraq, Reuters reported.*
