Omar's new entry explains the new Friends of Democracy website, the new Arabic Blogging Tool, and the Arabic Blog Project.

Friends of Democracy, which I saw first via GM's Big Pharoah Blog, is a very fancy piece of work. It can be accessed in both English and in Arabic.

In English, it is a blog which features grassroots election reporting from all over Iraq. This may give us access to some pretty farflung locations, way off the beaten path, that professional journalists are not apt to get into very deeply.
