A couple of mind-boggling quotes
culled from a certain Bahraini official:

*Jamal Dawood, head of press and publications at the information ministry, admitted that he did not know what a weblog was...*

*Mr Dawood said people cannot register online at the moment because his directorate doesn't have a website.*

+ I'm not a mindreader but I sense that recent events in Kuwait and KSA may have alarmed the Bahraini Govt. A good example of what may be worrying them is posted on the entry below which indicates that Al Qaeda's Saudi branch posted their "magazine" on the Internet.

Dawood and Co may believe that their current approach would aid them in hunting down any such "deviants" (i.e: destructive heretics) who may be secretly embedded or "sleeping" in their country.

It appears, however, that even if Mr Dawood would find such a character, he might not know how to proceed, given his complete ignorance about the Internet.

Clearly, Mr Dawood needs the blogging geeks. And a reconciliation in this matter would be of mutual benefit to both parties... and for the good of the country.

After all, who's he gonna call--
