Blogger Chan'ad Bahraini recently reported that a local official ... wants a ban on store mannequins because:

"These mannequins look like
real women with exactly
the same features."

And Mr. Karimi is not the only person in the M.E. who has been pondering over this. Just a few weeks ago a Tunisian blogger raised some related though-provoking questions...

"The other day while walking
by some store windows,
the question hit me:

When the hell did they start
putting nipples on mannequins?!

Is it that the stores are really cold?"

While, surprisingly, blogger Jeff Jarvis at BuzzMachine has just noted a similar trend in the US:

"You can't have nipples before 10pm
on American TV. After 10pm, though,
nipples are suddenly, magically
allowed to pop out again."
