The controversy from
Columbia University's
MEALAC Department:

*The committee is ... to identify cases where there appear to be violations of the obligation to create a civil and tolerant teaching environment in which opposing views can be expressed.*

I haven't had a chance to read it yet. Of course, each faction is expressing criticism and objections already. This is to be expected.

Floyd Abrams godfathered the report. By widespread consensus, he is one of the foremost experts on Freedom of Speech in the US.
