*Egypt's police took a dim view of an innocent protest on the Nile condemning the Sharm el-Sheikh bombings, Brian Whitaker learns from some beleaguered bloggers.*

Nadz is back and
puts her two cents in:

I've also been following the exciting anti-terrorist action that the awesome Egyptian bloggers (onearabworld, big pharaoh and sandmonkey) have been organizing. What stuck out most for me about their accounts was the support they got from passers-by and even the police - people giving them the thumbs-up from their cars...

In case you haven't noticed, many of the Middle Eastern bloggers have opinions that may surprise the average news-watching American... blogs have allowed people like my friend and passing drivers to say things that others don't want to hear. And that can only be a good thing...

Big Pharaoh has gotten
a very nice new logo.

It looks to me like a sphinx
maybe wearing glasses and
maybe playing backgammon. It has
a beautifully gradiated sand effect.
