LONDON WARLORD GUILTY -

Faryadi Sarwar Zardad, 41, of Gleneagles Road, Streatham, south London, faces life imprisonment in a British jail after he was convicted of pursuing a cruel and merciless reign of terror as a warlord in Afghanistan between 1992 and 1996.

The Attorney General, Lord Goldsmith, who personally prosecuted Zardad, said he thought the case to be unique.
