As city leaders tout redevelopment as the key to future economic prosperity, they are being forced to address how to dispose of all the waste these newcomers will generate... In Hollywood, property owners are being billed from $8,900 to $38,000 to tap into a new sewer in a downtown neighborhood...

"They are killing the property owners that provide affordable housing for the city,'' said Margaret Ujszaszi, who owns Washington Street Apartments and has a $38,000 bill. "We have single, working moms that stay here. We can't raise the rent on these people."
