MONDAY MEDIA NOTES -

#Cologne-based and family-controlled M. DuMont Schauberg, announced on Sunday that it was acquiring a 25 percent share of Haaretz in an investment worth 25 million euros ($32 million). Haaretz had been wholly owned by the Schocken family for 71 years.

#Schatten Staat: A lot of bloggers today are having serious problems with some recent choices AP employees have been making about their presentations of the fellow nicknamed The Green Helmet. Drama is not a natural force of the universe or a natural ingredient in the raw chaos of events. #The interview of Iranian Prez Ahmadinejad by CBS TV's Mike Wallace will be available to view over the Internet on C-Span.

And one of the tabs, The Daily Mail, I believe, jumped all over them. I think I shall refrain from mixing into this one at the moment. Last night in the wee hours of about 3am, I tuned into the World Service, which we get only on weekends down here in SoFlo. Their News Dept was doing a great job, very actively keeping tabs on the "cease-fire," with live interviews of someone from Future TV (lb) and someone from Haaretz. Where else could one get such quality news, interviews and live information at 3am, other than the Internet?
