READING MATTERS -
# SLY DIGS: Bruce Kluger pulls a clever but malicious stunt at USA Today. He denigrates Bloggers and then...
He fraudulently identifies himself as "an occasional blogger myself" because he participates in The Hu**ingtn P*st which is not a Blog, but, rather, an Online Magazine. A Blogger is not "occasional," but, rather, a kind of Diarist which, Kluger makes clear,
he is NOT.
This Op-Ed essay is a piece of rubbish and a waste of reading time because his point is not worth making; and he is using it merely as a flimsy pretext to invalidate Bloggers which is his real purpose.

# GONE FISHIN: In sharp contrast to the aforementioned trash, here is a delightful piece by Elizabeth Holmes.
No Day at the Beach
Bloggers Struggle With
What to Do About Vacation.
Enjoy!

# BOOKS / FALL PREVIEW: *This fall, as temperatures cool and the lure of a warm chair grows, authors will be eager to sit you down and tell you a thing or two-- from former CIA director George Tenet to Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, and from Alice McDermott to Stephen King.*
The Washington Post's Quick Survey of Fall Books. Brief squib descriptions. Fiction, Nonfiction and Genres. Good for a quick scan.
