Lebanon: THE WATCHERS -
*Even if southern Lebanon seems to be rapidly emptying of people, Hezbollah's presence is hard to miss. In entryways and under trees - out of view of the surveillance drones flying overhead - militants carefully observe who comes and goes. Cars passing through are reported by Walkie-Talkie and journalists are told what they are allowed to film. Bearded men accompany journalists to remote villages - likely more to keep prying eyes from stumbling across Hezbollah positions in the hills than out of an interest in providing a useful guide service.*
