No doubt, by now, you've heard about the excesses involved in some of the contemporary bar/bat mitzvahs, sweet-sixteens, and other such parties when today's parents want to make a splash to celebrate their children. This is another story which belongs to that genre.

A father in Coral Gables SoFlo, who is a corporate executive, hired a wild animal company to bring a cougar to his 7-year-old child's birthday party on November 18th. The cougar became startled, and the party ended badly.

The cougar was put to death.
