There are preliminary reports coming out of the McClatchy D.C. office from their reporters in Baghdad that a large number of Sunni residents have been purged out of this neighborhood which is now said to be under control of Muqtada al-Sadr.

Elsewhere, McClatchy reports the establishment of a hotline by the U.S. Miltary to report sectarian violence in an effort to curb the heavy mortar bombardments to which some Baghdad neighborhoods have been subjected.
