The British Army blew up and destroyed Basra's Jameat police station yesterday in an effort to stamp out the rogue Shiite militia death squads which had been infilitrating law enforcement there. They also removed over a hundred prisoners from the premises who, their intelligence sources had informed them, were destined to be subject to extrajudicial executions.
