FATAL DINING DATE -

The Timpf Case still seems to be going nowhere. And I think what is bothering me the most is what the detectives are NOT saying...

*Police are calling the fatal shooting of a former University of Miami basketball player and chiropractor in the parking lot of Houston's Restaurant an attempted car jacking.*

Where's the evidence of car jacking? Any indications of car jacking are thus far invisible.

If this were a car jacking, the guy would have put a gun to Timpf's head and told him to get out of the car. And, presumedly, Timpf would have had the good sense to comply. There doesn't seem to be any evidence of this.

*His Cadillac... is now being investigated by police for any clues that could lead to Timpf's killer.*

But what about his mobile phone? I was troubled that the police did not say they were downloading the contents of Timpf's mobile phone for possible clues. Nor did they say they had taken possession of his personal day-planner organizer for a similar examination. And, of course his computer. Did he surf on the internet, and, if so, where?

Here's an alternate hypothetical scenario: what if his dining companion were just a beard, a pretext for being there, and the parking lot encounter were really a botched payoff arrangement of some kind-- blackmail, extortion or gambling debts, etc?

This is the 21st Century, for God's sake. They should, at least, examine his mobile phone contents. Don't ya think?
