SHOOTING AT
BOYNTON MALL update -

The murder of Berno Charlemond at the Boynton Mall was no accident. He was the casualty of a war being prosecuted by an organized group called the San Castle Soldiers which is based in a nearby town. Charlemond, the victim himself, belonged to another organized group called the B-Town Boys, based in Boynton Beach.

:: San Castle Soldiers:
-- Jesse Cesar, alleged shooter;

:: B-Town Boys:
-- Berno Charlemond, dead victim.

Both groups are said to be predominantly Haitian. We still don't know what the argument was about. Were they arguing over a girl's affections? Or were they arguing over territory controlled by drug dealers? Or something else? We don't yet know.

The Palm Beach Post is taking the lead on this story, as well they should, since this scenario is being acted out on their home turf.

The latest development in this story is: the police are looking for another fellow named Wilson Pierre, Jr, 21, who, they say, was involved as a principal in the interaction moments before Charlemond was shot. He is considered armed and dangerous.
