THE GOURMET: A 68-year-old resident of the Somerset Condominium complex in Lauderdale Lakes was found brutally stabbed to death in a profusely bloody scene.

Neighbors described him as a quiet man who wrote books about food.

THE BASHED BABE: About five hours later, the body of a naked woman was found in an alley behind a motel on North Federal Highway in Hollywood. There were signs of severe head trauma.

Police claim they are searching missing person reports to find a match, but they have not released any description or sketch of her to the public.
