Kansas City Mo: An elderly woman was found dead in her home yesterday under suspicious circumstances, and her car was missing. The car was later spotted by a police officer who tried to pull it over, but the driver fled to a busy shopping center where he shot two people in the parking lot and then ran inside the mall where he was shot dead by police.

Obviously, there's going to be a lot more of this story to come, especially to fill in the backstory that led up to this chain of events. This must have been a bonanza for the cable news TV stations; they're addicted to chase-in-progress stories. [ap/fox] [cnn]
