This evening, a bomb went off under a public bus parked in Christian east Beirut, wounding at least 10 bystanders in the mixed residential and industrial district of Sed al-Baushrieh.

Yesterday, An-Nahar newspaper reported that arrested members of Fatah al-Islam had confessed it was planning a September 11-style attack in Beirut. [fr24]
