BRITNEY BILLBOARDS DOWN (2#) -

Clear Channel has taken down the billboards promoting Todd Schnitt's morning radio show which were the focus of potential litigation. A good article in the SPTimes explores the issue:

"The key point is that this billboard was used for advertising, for a commercial, not free speech or journalistic purpose," Law Prof C. Edwin Baker said.

But, evidently, Todd still doesn't understand what the problem is. He thinks they purchased a photo and that's all there is to it. The problem is not the photo per se.

The problem is that the Britney Corporation did not license her image for use in that specific commercial purpose which was a billboard to promote a commercial radio station show.
