In the wake of Pres Hugo Chavez closing RCTV, the monied classes in his country are getting predictably antsy:

*At the U.S. Embassy in Caracas, spokesman Brian Penn said phone lines were flooded with about 3,000 calls inquiring about visas last Monday, the day after the station went dark. That's more than twice the average number in May and seven times more than the same period last year, Penn said.*

That should help fill up all the empty luxury condos in SoFlo, the market for which has been sagging lately. [sent]
