What are we to make of the Musical Beds Mini-Series currently going on in France? It appears that Mr Sarkozy wanted to emulate the Kennedy Camelot Enchantment and have a more outgoing First Lady than the one he had.

Witness Nicolas Sarkozy, currently mooning around Paris like a lovestruck goon, making doe eyes at his new girlfriend Carla Bruni, as the rest of the country burns, riots and strikes - though thankfully to a soundtrack of Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg...

*The Paris civil court rejected a request for an injunction order to prevent "Cecilia" by Anna Bitton, a journalist and former friend of Cecilia Sarkozy, from coming out in bookstores...
