at Poynter E-Media Tidbits with his
thoughts on the matter.

He suggests that the use of
RSS renders them less important.

He makes a good point - at least half of my regular readers now read me via RSS. But I also get visitors via search engine queries.

The status of mine at the moment: I started
but haven't yet finished the Local Links section.

I may still do some tidying up of the whole thing, rearranging the books on the shelves or step back and take another look. We'll see.

Sidebar Links shouldn't be set in cement anyway; periodically they should be edited - but who's got the time?! Just a thought.
