Threats from extremists over a controversial cartoon have been received by an Urdu newspaper called Aaj Kal which have provoked widespread protest and condemnation among Pakistanis:

"The cartoon published in Aajkal showed the leader of the partisans, Umme Hassaan, in a burka teaching her burka-clad students the radical political philosophy of the group."

Meanwhile, trouble with militant insurgents has moved on to Hangu District where they just blew up the Fort there after looting its arms and ammunition.
