SoFlo: MANDATORY DVDs? -

Did voices in their heads force them to watch?

Another issue which occurred on Sunday passed me by completely until the reaction to it rolled in: our two local newspapers apparently, slipped a DVD in with the customary junk mail they pack with our papers and, mysteriously, people who received them felt compelled to watch them and - you guessed it - they were offended, upset, and distressed by them.

But why would people watch any random DVD that sails through their mail slot or is slipped under their doormat or is packed into the junk mail package included in the Sunday newspapers?

Did voices in their heads command them to watch the DVD?

I find their obedience alarming.

The simplest explanation, I suppose, is that we've got a lot of people living here in SoFlo who've come from Third World Dictatorships.

Folks, this is America, where nobody can force you to watch random DVDs that land on your doorstep. See the Off button on your machine? Use it! End of problem.
