ventures into dangerous area . . .

A 20-year-old youth who identified himself as a Florida community college student was arrested in Charsadda by Pakistani Police as he attempted to illicitly enter Mohmand Agency in the Tribal Region without proper authorization, according to a BBC report.

He claimed he wanted to visit a friend there. He was carrying a laptop and a travel bag. He has been released, but there has been a lot of wild speculation that he might be a (gasp!) spy.

He probably got the idea from the Iraqi youth from Florida who pulled a similar stunt, venturing into Iraq, a couple of years ago. And his mother is probably having a canary at this point - Grounded for Life, pal!
