Residents of Karachi have been complaining lately that they feel threatened by the encroachment of militant extremists. Sometimes they receive a sympathetic hearing about this issue, but sometimes their complaints are brushed off as baseless paranoia. They don't intend to take it supinely.
This time their complaint is that Karachi is being flooded with CD's, pamphlets and other propaganda which they regard as unacceptable hate material. In this article, Sayyed Fawad Ali Shah attempts to trace the origin and route of this "macabre brainwashing" media. The police have already warned that they "are determined to crush all those involved in the business."
