A new compound newspaper product will debut in South Florida this coming January, produced by college journalism students under the banner of The South Florida News Service. It will incorporate The Palm Beach Post, the Sun Sentinel and The Miami Herald.

"This is going to be
much more than an internship,"
one of the administrators explained.

And, over the weekend, the Editor of the Sun Sentinel revealed why his newspaper did not cover the Webcam Teen Suicide story in nearby Pembroke Pines.

I think he lost the plot on this one:

the original attempt to telephone EMS
in Broward County FL came from India.

Incidentally, I got the story from The Times of London, which is a reputable and responsible publication, before I became aware that Matt Drudge had posted it.
