Man with a gun driving a black Mustang . . .

was shot by the police at the Aventura Shopping Mall this afternoon after he pointed his weapon at the officers. The exchange of shots occurred in a parking garage.

The Aventura Shopping Mall is located about midway between Miami and Fort Lauderdale and is a major shopping destination in South Florida.
