Although Estafan's motives are presumed to have been
heartfelt and benign, the effects in Cuba can be crazy.

The Cuban regime often depicts the exile community in Miami as a major source of the island's problems before the Castro revolution and frequently invents convoluted sinister conspiracy theories about them and their activities.
