Meredith Kercher Case -
Why is Amanda Knox sometimes treated like a celebrity in Cyberspace? Aren't convicted killers notorious? Or can't the public distinguish between celebrity and notoriety anymore?
Giancarlo De Cataldo, a respected Italian legal figure and crime writer, is interviewed by Cristina Bassi for a Panorama blog entry. Even using the somewhat garbled Google translation, one can readily see what sets this piece apart from so many others, viz: he does not shy away from discussing the subject of Evil.
De Cataldo seems to think that this case and cases like it can be used by parents as opportunities to help youngsters develop a more critical conscience which will equip them to better protect themselves.
