Mez: Italian Arguments (3#) -

The Jersey Shore
cast has been cooking . . .

Mike "The Situation" and Ronnie got into
a major brawl last night, according to TMZ.

And thing have been
cooking elsewhere in Italy . . .

Cone of Silence: The naked boulevardier formerly known as F, who was allegedly once stripped of his sartorial enhancements by unidentified law enforcement officers, is rumored to be blogging again, this time under heavy encryption and via a former nuclear bunker in Sweden.

Why the delay in the Sapienza experts' presentation of the biological evidence? It's my impression that they're still busy checking the Sacred Chain of Custody for that evidence.

Is that what it is really called? Yes, in a homicide case, you may sometimes hear it referred to in that way. They take the sanctity of that chain very seriously.

Could someone plant DNA into that chain? Let me put it to you this way: if you did it, you'd own it. Everything has to be signed off in the chain.

But don't get distracted or misdirected. The DNA material is only one small piece of a much larger body of evidence here like the icing on a cupcake; it is not central to getting a conviction in this case.

Please, do not fail to note that Amanda's desk lamp was found inside the locked death chamber, and that it was the only source of illumination in Amanda's room. Do you really believe that Amanda Knox lived in that room for at least a week without any lights whatsoever?

Amanda Knox claimed to be a Material Witness in this case. There are two things that a Material Witness must not do: attempt to flee and lie. If you do either one of these things, you get arrested. Amanda lied by identifying a man with a solid alibi as the perpetrator.

Could I believe there is a possibility that someone planted DNA?  I would not say it is impossible. But I would need to see very persuasive evidence of such an allegation. Planting DNA is not as simple as dropping a numberless gun on a dead man. Some people have lively imaginations and enjoy fantasies involving conspiracy theories.

In that regard, the Murder of Meredith Kercher
has become a regular dog and pony show.
