Rabash Al Quwai, a 24 year-old Saudi journalist who was detained over his writings on the Internet, was freed "after the intervention of a senior Saudi figure," and his case is now closed.

His lawyer said the material on the websites was "perceived as violating constants in the Islamic religion."
