Pop Culture: COMING UP -

This weekend, the annual Comic-Con Convention will take place in San Diego. The get-together includes comics and graphic novels, but has expanded considerably in recent years to include sci-fi, fantasy, and movies.

Key West, Florida: Sloppy Joe's Bar will host its 26th Annual Hemingway Look-Alike contest this weekend; the finals are tomorrow, Saturday. This is one of many events to celebrate the birthday of the author and sportsman.

Next weekend is scheduled for the U.S. Premiere of the Miami Vice movie, which has a lot of fans, especially in SoFlo. Debut date: July 28th.
