Just swanning in with some brief jottings . . .
about some of the stuff that's been
going on around these parts during my hiatus:
:: Russell Banks, who has moved down here part-time as a snowbird, has written a novel about the men who were forced to live like Trolls under a Miami bridge. It's called
Lost Memory of Skin.
:: Reporter Julie Brown is writing a True Crime book about the Novack Family Murders. Ben Novack was the heir to the Fontainebleau Hotel fortune. Narcy Novack, his wife, was a former stripper. Brown covered the case for The Miami Herald.
:: And Pop Artist Red Grooms is making
a 74-foot sculpture for the Miami Marlins.
