Books: Stories
From Here & There (5#) -

"Stories have to be
told and read and written.
That's how we make sense of the world."

Mitchell Kaplan, owner of the local indy bookstore Books & Books, is venturing into the small press publishing field.

Somewhat along the lines of Johnny Temple's Akashic venture, which produces the famed Noir series of regional Mystery story collections, Kaplan is producing a collection of local SoFlo-based stories compiled and edited by John Dufresne called Blue Christmas: Stories for the Rest of Us in an affordable soft cover edition.

# Stories about Londoners collected and transcribed by Craig Taylor, a Canadian immigrant using an Oral History approach:

:: Iain Sinclair Review ::
:: Sukhdev Sandhu Review ::

# The Angel Esmeralda - A group of stories
by Don DeLillo; reviewed by Steven Poole.

# A collection of Travel Stories by Paul Bowles in paperback; reviewed by Christopher Reynolds at LAT.
