It may be a big story here this week, but it's not a novelty in law enforcement history when drugs from the evidence room escape into the wild.
In the case at hand, the Medical Examiner's Office is supposed to keep dangerously potent pain pills from those who've died of a drug overdose for a period of time.
Allegations have now arisen that the drugs were poorly guarded, accounted for, and maintained. Some may have gone missing and may even have been resold on the street.
No doubt there will be intense
