JFK Standstill -

Yesterday was the 50th anniversary of JFK's assassination. I happened to be living in South Florida when it happened. Indeed, everything did come to a stop. And the kids were sent home from school after the announcement came over the school PA system.

But that was a vastly different Florida than what it has become today. That was before it became the squalid cesspool of anti-social behavior it is now.

Yesterday, nothing special happened. The TV news was on at Dunkin' but muted with some captions. At the same time, loud pop music was blasting over the sound system.

This isn't even remotely part of America anymore.
